Would you like to help improve birth outcomes in Charlotte County?

Here are some ways you can:

Join the Charlotte County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. and help develop a community needs assessments, awareness programs and outreach activities.
Attend local Healthy Start meetings and provide your ideas on new ways to reduce health risks for pregnant women and infants and provide services.
Collect goods for a “pantry” of baby food and infant goods available for families in need of temporary assistance.
Hold a baby shower for the donation of infant items for newborns.
Fund raise. Work with other Coalition members to raise funds for services to infants and mothers determined to be at-risk for poor health outcomes.
Volunteer. Assemble tote bags full of health care and childcare information for distribution to new moms. Collate newsletter mailings and work on special projects.
